I am CEO of Intuition Communication Ltd, a web publishing business in the healthcare sector. Intuition was established in 2003. The company owns and operates a network of web sites that provide advice and information for patients in the UK and overseas who are seeking treatment and healthcare services.
I write a blog on medical tourism on IMTJ and a blog on Private Healthcare and also find time sometimes to blog about running Berkhamsted Raiders CFC, a youth football club, of which I am Chairman.
Our sites include Private Healthcare UK and GoPrivate.com, the UK’s leading portals for private healthcare services and the rapidly growing medical tourism site, Treatment Abroad. The Harley Street Guide and HarleyStreet.com are aimed at patients from the UK and abroad who are seeking information about doctors, dentists, hospitals and medical and clinical services in this centre of London’s medical expertise. Cancer Advice provides comprehensive information on the diagnosis,and treatment of cancer and is edited by Intuition’s Medical Director, Dr Nick Plowman.
Self Help UK has a searchable database of patient support and self help groups across the UK. Treatment in Spain provides advice on accessing healthcare services in Spain for medical tourists, expatriates, holidaymakers and business travellers. There are similar portals for Treatment in Hungary, Treatment in Cyprus and Treatment in India.
OHS Directory is an online directory that provides company profiles and information on occupational health providers, services and products throughout the UK. We also launched a Medical Tourism Ratings and Reviews site, and established an online Private Healthcare Guide in partnership with Netdoctor.
Medical Expert provides access to information about expert witnesses in the health and medical sector , and UK law firms that specialise in areas such as clinical negligence and medical negligence.
In 2009, Intuition acquired International Medical Travel Journal ( IMTJ), a business to business online journal that provides insight into and comment upon the medical tourism industry, including medical tourism statistics, a medical tourism conference calendar, and a medical travel directory.
In 2010, we launched DoctorInternet, an Arabic language portal for medical travelers from the Middle East.
